Just received DeepTune Rings and they are fun additions to my Tungsten arsenal. They definitely produce more bass and solve the pressure issues I have with Hybrid pads.
I still prefer the magic of the UP pads on my reference track, Glass Animals - Cocoa Hooves, but it's nice to have these to switch up flavors when I just need that sub-bass.
For context, they appear to produce deeper sub-bass than the MH developed adapters.

You definitely nailed it with the rings. and I agree, so far the fusion pads + rings + honeycomb grill is the way to go. Ive only had them for about 2hrs, so I plan to spend a bunch of time rolling and swapping but the immediate bass increase without changing the mids/highs is perfect. these need absolute no EQ in this config. they sound perfect

They are enhancing sub bass and mid bass for me. I think I prefer them on SS versus DS as they make the funner pair but more fun.
I have been enjoying them so much that I need to take them off for a little bit to remind myself what it sounded like before. So no downsides for me yet

Quick thoughts on the DeepTune Rings
Bass, especially the sub bass, is increased but there isn't any noticeable roll off like there is with the original venting adapter or with rotating the pad. The top end is a little bit darker. Mostly noticeable in cymbals and things like that.
There's just a touch less air. Basically what I get with these is a really balanced increase in bass. I'm not losing any texture or extension there's just more low end and it sounds great. I'm running the fusion pads and using ma3і -> coda 15.5 for the setup

That all said - if you have a Tungsten or have one on order.. you should definitely get the Fusion pads and pick up the rings for the ~ 150 it will run you. That combo provides even more bass without affecting anything else (or very minimally). It really brings those double-bass hits alive and genuinely provides that live venue sound. With that setup its the best out-of-the-box sounding headphones Ive ever heard...and I really dont see a reason to EQ them from here. They check all the boxes Ive been looking for (with the exception of drivability).

Gotta say, the DeepTune rings are real nice with the SS and hybrid pads (fusion on the way). Having set up my chain to try and be as energy-focused and visceral within budget, it really helped quell some of the upper frequency that got fatiguing fairly quickly at volume. The lower registry is also much improved, which may be playing a part in perceived highs, but I suspect it's that it just has somewhere to diffuse more easily through the ports.

Highly recommend these as an owner of single-sided. Having owned and listened to the Tungsten for almost 14 months now, these made the biggest difference between all the mods and pads (aside from when Ryan sneakily upgraded some internal wiring when I sent them in for repair). The rings really quelled a lot of the upper frequency energy that could get really fatiguing at volume, and as claimed, the lows are also improved. And to be fair, I have a high-energy chain. Seemingly, the ports allow a place for that excess to diffuse more easily, in a similar way to the perforated pads, without the drawback of the mid-range bump that can make the SS sound too busy.

Highly recommend the DeepTune rings…
No brainer, big increase in bass volume and intensity across the board
Pretty generous coverage to the bass expansion, for example it isn't all midbass or something
It doesn't seem to obscure detail, if anything the focus is a tiny bit better, detail wise
The detail's there but yea the more intense bass steals the show

Just got the DeepTune Rings
Immediate thoughts are
Using DS, stock grills and Ultra Perf =
Slight up tic in dB but a definite upgrade in impact. We are getting close to Bokeh bass here at lower listening levels. The Tungs still run out of steam at higher volumes (for fun EDM/movie sub bass.) Using the Hybrids there is a bigger dB, SLIGHTLY less impact, but more bass. As deep and loud as Bokeh, but with the benefits of the Tungs. Might have to look at getting the hex grills at some point. But overall a great addition and better than the pad twist both in sound and easiness of putting them on and taking off
Still prefer the ultra perf for most music, but instead of the hybrid pads being never used, they will come out for usage now as it's decent p upgrade in bass. Think for TV and movie viewing they will work best

my impressions so far:
Setup: Mimic Tungsten DS, with UP pads with no cloth, and bars instead of a hex grill.
Original UP pads with cloth were not tested
Bass: The bass is less "boomy" but more tight, as in kick drums have more punch rather than boom. Bille Jean's bassline for example without that boom sounds interesting with that punch. The synthetic bass in Billie Eilish's Xanny sounds cleaner but less exciting for that lack of rumble. Korn's Blind does have a bit more subbass, but otherwise not much more different.
Midrange: seems the same. maybe slightly pulled back? I liked how Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso sounded though.
Treble: i do hear improvements in treble. it's cleaner and more distinct. more 3d.
Soundstage: soundstage seems slightly wider.
Imaging: Imaging is better because the soundstage is wider so it helps with left/right imaging and treble imaging as well. I like it a lot.
Overall, your assessment seems to track.
What I like about this spacer though over the quarter spacer is that the bass doesn't lose energy. The quarter ring space does improve subbass, but everything else seems affected, like a loss of energy in the midbass and midrange.

Do they increase the bass?
They do. Holy moly. The dynamics get much better and i cannot say which one slams harder, the CC (Caldera Closed) or the Tungsten. The Tungsten is still smoother and more laid-back, while the CC is richer in the mids, has more bite in the treble and is overall more energetic.
But oh boy, with those spacers the Tungsten really remind me of a true, worthy LCD-4 successor with less rich and creamy mids. The positive thing is that it is missing that 1kHz honk in the mids that easily gets bothersome (it's better with fresh / the right pads), which existed on the LCD-4.
The bass now just hammers and is so much fun, i love it. If you don't have these spacers, get them, immediately…. ….The fun really starts when you have installed them…. . The bass easily went up from a 7 to a 9 (my 10 is reserved for the 1266TC and the Valkyria with its original tuning, those two are basically impossible to beat).… Ok, NOW i am really impressed by this headphone.

I got my DeepTune Rings and I'm very impressed! Bass is noticeably more impactful and digs deeper, without affecting the rest of the tonal balance. Great job my man!

..wow the rings really make a noticeable difference! Definite improvement in the bass response with no detrimental side effects...

I've had them on my loaner pair for about a week. I, too, am definitely not a bass head insofar as I understand the term. It's a qualitative difference more than it is quantitative. It's bass that's more felt, not simply observed if that makes sense. It brings a certain emphatic quality to the low end without overwhelming the FR. If it were more than that to my ears, it would be a no-go.

I never felt the stock Tungsten was bass deficient, but the rings add a visceral impact that is immediately apparent and addicting. It's not an artificial bass-heady type of thing either, more of a fullness that expands the sonic palette into a more cohesive image.

Been enjoying the rings all day. Definite, noticeable bass extension and greater impact. What a joy, man.

Damn that slaps on Tungsten with deep tune rings and 170HA... ...Deep tune rings with ultra perf pads are also a winner
